Choosing Visa Consultants in Singapore
Work passes and residence in Singapore are decided by the Ministry of Manpower (Employment Pass, S Pass) and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (PR, long-term passes). Crucially, the ICA states on its own site that it does not regulate or endorse immigration consultants, so there is no accreditation to check, and any claim of being “government accredited” should be treated with caution.
Judge a consultant on track record with your specific pass type and honesty about eligibility (Employment Pass has a published salary threshold and a points assessment), not on badges. Be sceptical of guaranteed approval or fixed timelines: MOM and ICA control both, and a consultant can only prepare and submit a strong application.
